Obituary for Nathan Ray Hartless Nathan Ray Hartless
24 Year-Old Dies After Bath County Accident

Nathan Ray Hartless, 24 of Lexington, died Monday, October 26, 2009 in a single-vehicle accident in Bath County.

He was born June 24, 1985 in Rockbridge County, the son of Mary Woodson of Fairfield and Eugene Hartless of Lexington.

He worked for Spencer Home Center, and had previously worked at Lowe's Home Improvement in Rockbridge County, Subway Restaurant in Fairfield, and the State Theatre in Lexington.

He was a member of the Fairfield United Methodist Church.

Surviving besides his parents are a son, Landon James Benton; three brothers, Ben Hartless of Forge Road; Josh Hartless and Jacob Hartless both of Lexington; his fiancee, Amanda Lotts; his stepfather, Darryl Woodson of Fairfield; his stepmother, Teresa Hartless of Lexington; step grandparents; Don and Peggy Woodson of Natural Bridge and step grandmother, Gladys B. Davis of Buena Vista, VA.

The Rev. Butch Grow and the Rev. James Simmons will conduct the funeral 2 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 5 to 7 Thursday, at Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockbridge SPCA and the Rockbridge Area Relief Association's Food Pantry.
