Obituary for Willis Lee "Moby" Ruley Willis Lee "Moby" Ruley
Worked At VMI For 38 Years

Willis Lee (Moby) Ruley, 80, of Lexington, died November 2, 2009 in Heritage Hall.

Born December 7, 1928 in Virginia, he was a son of the late William Franklin Ruley and Betsy Mutispaugh.

He was a veteran of Korea, and was a native of Rockbridge County.

Willis worked at VMI for 38 Years.

Also preceding Mr. Ruley in death was his stepmother, Nanny Bannar Ruley and his wife, Ester Davis Ruley.

Surviving are by his brother, Tony Ruley; his sister, Joyce Higgins; nieces, Heather Ruley, Sarah Ruley, Sissy Higgins, Amanda Irvine, Samantha Irvine, and Rebecca Irvine; a nephew, Gerald Higgins; neighbors, Bruce and Lynn Laraway and Ronnie and Carolyn Saunders.

"Now that you're in heaven and in a wonderful place, God may take your hand with joy and full of grace.

"You'll be dearly missed and you were loved by many."

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Pastor G. Hunter Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington, VA.
