Obituary for Melba C. McCullough Melba C. McCullough
Faith Baptist Church Member Was Burlington Retiree

Melba C. McCullough, 87, of Natural Bridge Station, Virginia, died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington.

Born March 7, 1922 in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Campbell and Martha Myrtle Wilcher Campbell.

Melba was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" McCullough.

She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Natural Bridge Station, and retired from Burlington Industries with 42 years of service.

Melba was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are two daughters, Marlene Branch and husband, John and Shirley Hill and husband, Delmas all of Natural Bridge Station; four grandchildren, Randy Agnor, Mike Branch and wife, Charlene, Sissy Steelman, Robbie Branch and wife, Dawn; four great grandchildren, Joshua Cash and wife, Jessica, Heather Chaplin, Jessica Humphries, Ashley Kerr, and one great-great grandson, Will Garver.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at Faith Baptist Church, Natural Bridge Station, with Pastor Terry Bostic officiating. Burial will follow at Glasgow Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6 to 7 on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington, VA.
