Cyrus Lee Flenner, age 84, of The Golden Living Center, Clifton Forge, died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at The Golden Living Center.

Born January 11, 1925 in Longdale, Virginia, he was a son of the late Homer Ray and Effie Simmons Flenner.

He was a retired welder for the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Nola B. Flenner, a step son, William "Bill" Dillon of Locust Grove; three sisters, Mildred Willis of Clifton Forge, Dorothy Blyth of Portsmouth, and Marie Apeal of Maryland, and a brother, Clayton Flenner of Portsmouth.

According to his wishes, his body has been cremated.

There will be no funeral services.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia, handled the arrangements.
