Lexington Native Worked For Modine, Burlington Industries

Mary Elizabeth Wiseman Keiser, 75, of Buena Vista, passed away peacefully after a brave struggle with cancer on Sunday, February 21, 2010.

Born December 24, 1934 in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Earnest and Lois Reese Wiseman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Earl Keiser; a daughter, Patricia Sue Keiser; two brothers, William (Bill) Wiseman and Kenneth Wiseman; a beloved grandson, John Thomas Huffman.

Mary was retired from Modine Manufacturing and worked at James Lee's-Burlington.

She always treated others as she wanted them to treat her. She was a wonderful wife, mother and companion.

Mary loved to travel with Bob in his big truck, especially to Florida in winter. She also loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and found much pleasure in their visits.

She was also an adopted mother to Carla, Shelby and Robin (Bob's children). She loved to watch television and had a very quick sense of humor. She was a kind and generous person and will greatly be missed by all who knew her, but their lives have been blessed because they did now her.

Surviving are daughters, Brenda K. Tolley and husband, Larry, Mary Kathryn Huffman and husband, Phil; sons, Thomas E. Keiser, Jr. (Tommy) and wife, Lisa, Robert John Keiser and wife, Marlene, all of Buena Vista; grandchildren, Russell Blaine Tolley and wife, Michelle of Madison Heights, Elizabeth Flint and husband, West, Saltville, VA, Frank Phillip Huffman, III and wife, Paige of Buena Vista, Justin, Kelvin and Dallas Keiser, Ashley, Robert Jr. and Hailey Keiser of Buena Vista; two step grandchildren; four great grandchildren of Lexington; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Thomas and Rev. David Bain officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the John Thomas Huffman (grandson) memorial scholarship fund at PMHS or the BVFD or BVRS. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista, VA.
