Obituary for Weldon Franklin Dudley Weldon Franklin Dudley
Korean War Veteran Was Buena Vista Resident

Weldon Franklin Dudley, 79, of Buena Vista, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Golden Living Center in Buena Vista, Virginia.

Born December 1, 1930, he was the son of the late Lewis Dudley and Beatrice Ogden Dudley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Harry Ballard.

He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

Weldon was an army veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Charlotte Dudley; one son, Tim Dudley and wife, Elaine of Buena Vista, VA; two brothers, Louie Dudley and wife, Dot of Fairfield, VA; Leslie Ballard of Richlands, VA; one sister, Ruby Ramsey of Buena Vista, VA; three grandchildren, Stacy Hostetter of Buena Vista, VA, Brian Dudley of Fairfax, VA, and Debbie Bishop of Mt. Dora, FL; three great grandchildren, Landon and Talen Hostetter of Buena Vista, VA, and Alton Bishop of Mt. Dora, FL.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Christian Becker officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.
