Dorothy Mae Sloan Dodd Woodson, 76, of 108 Railroad Avenue, Iron Gate, Virginia, died on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at her residence.

She was born on May 18, 1933 in Botetourt County, Virginia, a daughter of the late Wilson Sloan and Dorothy Mae Sloan.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas J. Dodd; and second husband, Nyle Woodson.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 in the chapel of the Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge, Virginia, with Mr. Richard Britt officiating. Interment will follow in the Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening, March 19, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. at the Nicely Funeral Home.
