Obituary for Eugene Franklin Trent Eugene Franklin Trent
Indiana Native Was World War II Veteran

Eugene Franklin Trent, 85, of Natural Bridge, Virginia, died Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Havenwood.

Born February 4, 1925, in Connersville, Indiana, he was the son of the late Claude Trent and Anna Durham Trent.

Eugene was preceded in death by his wife Gloria "Dot" Trent and a son, Ronald Eugene Trent.

He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Mr. Trent was a World War II veteran with Co. K 133rd Inf, Reg, 34th Division (Red Bull).

Surviving are one daughter, Diana Reese and husband, John of Kankakee, Illinois; one daughter-in-law, Barbara Cash Trent of Natural Bridge; two sisters, Juanita Palazzo of New Jersey and Mae Sinko of Canada; two brothers, Claude Trent, Jr.; Paul Trent, both of Indiana; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William M. Thomas and Rev. George Warden officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers make memorial contributions to Rockbridge Area Hospice P.O. Box 948 Lexington, VA 24450. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory, Lexington VA.
