Obituary for Paul Pendleton Jarvis Paul Pendleton Jarvis
Lexington Native Dies At Age 74

Paul Pendleton Jarvis, 74, of Lexington, Virginia, died Sunday, July 4, 2010.

Born March 29, 1936, in Lexington, he was a son of the late James David Jarvis and Cindy Miller Jarvis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Norcross Jarvis and two sons, Steve Jarvis and Gregory Jarvis.

Mr. Jarvis was a member of the Timber Ridge A.R.P Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Diane O'Bryant (John) of Buckingham, VA; Alice Mutispaugh (Carl) of Buena Vista, VA; Jane Swartz (Jeff) of Lexington, VA; two brothers, William Jarvis of Fairfield; Curtis Jarvis of Lexington; one sister, Vivian Macauley of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren, Ryan, Kristin, Brandon, Brooke, and Leslie; one great grandchild, Chloe.

A funeral service will be conducted 10:30 a.m., Wednesday July 7, 2010 at Timber Ridge A.R.P. Church with the Rev. Robert Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at Harrison Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Rockbridge Area Hospice, Timber Ridge A.R.P. Church, or the Heritage Hall Patient Fund.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
