Robin Lee Austin, 54, of 1006 E. Dolly Ann Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at his residence.

He was born November 2, 1955 in Covington, the son of the late Foots Austin and Gladys Jean Welcher Austin.

Robin was retired as a painter with PPD Painting / Design Company in Roanoke.

He attended Mallow Presbyterian Church and was an avid fisherman.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Karen Patrick Austin of Covington; a son, Patrick Vaden of Fort Hood, TX; his brother, Jamie Arrington and his wife, Tammy of Hot Springs; four nieces and his beloved dog, Coco.

In keeping with Robin's wishes, his body will be cremated and memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are being handled by the Arritt Funeral Home, Covington, Virginia.
