Florence Crawford Tolley Adams, 79, of Friendship Heath Care Center in Roanoke, Virginia, died, Sunday, August 8, 2010.
She was formerly of Scott Hill in Clifton Forge.
She was born July 29, 1931 in Covington, a daughter of the late Herbert Dearl Crawford and Estella Loan Crawford.
Prior to moving back to the Highlands, Mrs. Adams was employed by the IRS in Richmond. She retired from the Alleghany County ASCS Office in Covington as a Program Assistant.
Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews including, Mary ÒTeenyÓ Shephard of Appomattox; Libby Via of Covington; great nieces and nephews, including, Stephen Via and J.D. Via , both of Covington Kenny Via of Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska and Jimmy Persinger of Lynchburg.
The graveside service was held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday , August 11, 2010 at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
