Obituary for JoAnn (Nana) Meadows Taylor JoAnn (Nana) Meadows Taylor
Iron Gate Baptist Church Member Was Self-Employed

JoAnn (Nana) Meadows Taylor, age 61, of 920 Commercial Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.

She was born February 19, 1949 in West Virginia to the late E. G. "Morty" Meadows and Virginia Ballengee Meadows.

She was self-employed in cleaning services and was a member of Iron Gate Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Liberty Meadows of Clifton Forge, Sherry Taylor and boyfriend, Scott Shaffer of Selma, and Courtney Marshall and husband, David of Floyd; three granddaughters, Krista Taylor, Ashley Meadows, and Emily Meadows; and many special friends, including Rick Crawford.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, with Reverend Hunter Hale officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home and other times at her residence. The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions to The American Heart Association, Attn: Joy Weeks, Memorial Chairman, 2212 Dressler Drive, Covington, VA 24426.

The Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge, Virginia, is in charge of arrangements.
