Hilda Wise Anderson, 83, of Buena Vista, Virginia, departed this temporal life for an eternal life on Friday, September 10, 2010.

She was born on November 29, 1926 in Amherst, Virginia, the daughter of the late Willie D. Wise and Mary Sandidge Wise.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Houston Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was a faithful member of the Stone Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by a daughter Angela C. Sievert, and husband, Bob, of Midlothian, Virginia; grandchildren, Kimberly A. Murphy, Shannon G. Williams, Matthew D. Sievert, and Andrew C. Sievert, great grandchildren, Jessica Colby and Jordan Murphy. Also surviving is a brother, Thomas. E. Puckett and wife, Betty.

Funeral services will be held at the Stone Church of the Brethren on Monday, September 13, 2010, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Russ Barb officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday September 12, 2010 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are being handled by the Bolling Grose & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Buena Vista.
