Obituary for Linda Ayers Kessinger Linda Ayers Kessinger
Covington Native Was Clifton Forge Real Estate Company Owner

Linda Ayers Kessinger, 69, of Clifton Forge, Va., passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010.

Our most loving mother went to be with the Lord, after a hard battle with illness, she is finally at rest.

She was born at Covington, Va., November 10, 1940, a daughter of the late Leland Thomas and Claudine Neel Ayers.

Linda was an active part of the business community of Clifton Forge, Va. for over 25 years. Her real estate company, Action Real Estate, was a large part of her life and one that she very much enjoyed.

She will be sadly missed by her children, daughter, Rhonda Kessinger Bandy and her husband, Phillip, of Kannapolis, N.C., and her son, Ronald Gregory Kessinger and his wife, Kathleen, of Newberg, OR.; her grandsons, who were the lights of her life, Kenneth Bandy and Maxwell Kessinger; her brothers, Kenith "Brother" Ayers and his wife, Pat, in Maryland, Leland "Skip" Ayers and his wife, Thea, of Troutville, Va., Ronnie Gene Ayers and his wife, Jane, of Zanesville, Ohio. She will also be missed by some very special friends in her life, Joe Mann, Susan Baird and Curtis Persinger, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends and family.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the New Zion Union Church at Waiteville, WV., with the Rev. David Kessinger officiating. Burial will follow in the New Zion Union Church Cemetery at Waiteville, WV. Friends may call at the church from noon until service time on Tuesday. The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Clifton Forge Rescue Squad at Clifton Forge, Va.

Groves Funeral Home in Union, WV. is in charge of arrangements.
