Obituary for David James Parker David James Parker
Army Veteran Was Retired Computer Analyst

David James Parker, age 82, of Millboro, Virginia and formerly of Annandale, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 481 McClung Drive, Millboro.

He was born November 28, 1927 in Billings, Montana, to the late James D. and Cora A. Withans Parker.

He was a graduate of Billings High School, received a B. A. degree from Montana University and an M. S. degree from Johns Hopkins University, and also attended the University of Pennsylvania.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a retired computer analyst for the United States Department of Agriculture.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leola Rusmisel Parker. He is survived by special friends, Lynn Ellen and Tommy Black of Millboro and a niece, Ann Fawley of Covington.

A graveside funeral service was held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Woodland Union Church Cemetery, Millboro with Reverend David George officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Townsend, Billy Via, Clayton Plecker, and Dean Hicklin. There was no formal visitation. However, friends may call anytime at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge. Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions to Woodland Union Church Cemetery, 481 McClung Drive, Millboro, VA 24460.
