Mr. Jesse James (Jim) Hawkins, Jr., age 81, of 1413 Bennettown Road, Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, November 16, 2010, at Lewis Gale Alleghany, Low Moor, VA.

Mr. Hawkins was born May 2, 1929 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Jesse James Hawkins, Sr. and Dorothy Knighton Hawkins.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.
