Mark Wayne Anderson, 46, of Roanoke, died Monday, November 29, 2010 at his residence.

He was born August 6, 1964 at Clifton Forge, a son of the Ellen Bowles Reed of Roanoke and the late John P. Anderson, Jr.

Mark was employed as a Security Guard at Brandon Oaks Nursing Home in Roanoke.

He was a member of the Cross Roads Christian Church in New Castle.

In addition to his mother, Mark is survived by his sister, Deborah Johnson and her husband, Jeffery of Christiansburg; his brother, John P. Anderson III of Roanoke; two nephews, Brock Johnson and Jesse Johnson, both of Christiansburg; and a number of cousins, including Lori Parris and her husband, Frenchy of Covington.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.

The interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Friends may their respects any time at the Arritt Funeral Home.

The family will receive their friends one hour prior to service time on Thursday, December 2, 2010.
