Cathy F. Humphries, 59, of Buena Vista, Virginia, entered the portals of Glory at 7:54 a.m. on Saturday, January 1, 2011 with her family by her side.

She was born June 27, 1951 to Hattie Fitzgerald and the late Clarence Fitzgerald.

She was a member of the Lexington Foursquare Gospel Church and used any opportunity to minister the gospel of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Cathy is survived by her husband, Bobby Humphries and three daughters and their families: Lisa, Shannon, Regan and kaden Dorey; Chrystal, Jason, Brooklyn and Michaela Knick; and Lindsey, Matt, and Jackson Perkins. Cathy is also survived by two brothers and a sister and families: Bobby, Denise and Charlie Fitzgerald; Wayne, Jeannie, Brandon and Jordan Fitzgerald; and Sandy, Denny, Adrian, Kellon and Breanna Worth.

The family would like to thank a very special friend and prayer warrior, Betty Sutton, for her continued prayer and support during Cathy's illness.

Cathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be missed by all. Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Home.

The funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Lexington Foursquare Gospel Church. Interment will be made at the Green Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rockbridge Christian Academy.
