William Lee Armentrout, 72, of Lexington, died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Augusta Medical Center in Fisherville, VA.

He was born on February 20, 1938 in Covington, VA.

He was a son of the late William Cornelius Armentrout and Grace Burns Armentrout.

Mr. Armentrout was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Crystal Hendricks, of Staunton, Dreama Armentrout, of Bedford, and Beverly McGee, of Lexington; four sons, Jeffrey Armentrout, of Lexington, Timothy Armentrout, Brian Armentrout, and Kevin Thorne, all of Buena Vista; two sisters, Loreda All, of Mechanicsville, and Bonnie Shoemaker, of Lexington; five brothers, James H. Armentrout, of Woodlawn, Richard E. Armentrout, of Buena Vista, Larry Armentrout, of Roanoke, Gary A. Armentrout, of Erie, PA, and Roger D. Armentrout, of Lexington; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011, at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Baldwin officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no visitation at the funeral home, but the family will receive friends after the service at the R.E. Lee Social Hall.
