Ellen Jane Robinson Goodbar, 62, of Lexington, Virginia, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at her home.

Born October 22, 1948 in Lexington, she was the daughter of Edna Ginger Robinson of Lexington and the late Nathan Alfred Robinson.

Mrs. Goodbar was a member of the Lauderdale ARP Church and was employed by the Lexington Police Department as a school crossing guard.

Surviving are her husband, Ralph Goodbar; one son, Darryl Gene Goodbar; one sister, Barbara R. Tyree, all of Lexington.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benjamin W. Dowling, III officiating. Burial will follow at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery.
