Alleta Frances Nicely Hall, 85, of Lexington, VA, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at Shenandoah Nursing Home in Fisherville, VA.

She was born on July 9, 1925, in Rockbridge County, the daughter of the late Harry Samuel Nicely and Gertie Octavia Entsminger Nicely.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peachy Wilbert Hall.

Alleta was a member of the Collierstown Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Ronald W. Hall and Harry E. Hall; three daughters, Patricia H. Newell, Donna H. Kerr, and Deloris H. Clark; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Collierstown Baptist Church, with the Rev. Art Brumit officiating. Burial to follow in Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2011, at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
