Obituary for Hazel Anderson Moore Hazel Anderson Moore
Worked With Industrial Rayon Corp, Ritch's Cleaners

Hazel Anderson Moore, 81, of 2020 S. Arden Ave., Covington, Virginia, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at her residence.

She was born October 30, 1929 in Oriskany, a daughter of the late George W. and Carrine Hannah Anderson.

Mrs. Moore was a former employee of the Industrial Rayon Inc. and Ritch's Cleanners.

She was a member of the South Covington United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Fellowship Bible Class and a Charter member of the United Methodist Women. She was a former Volunteer for the American Red Cross.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna Lee Anderson and Charlene Lewis Anderson; four brothers, G. Hubert Anderson, Robert Luke Anderson, Richard Harold Anderson and James Howard Anderson; and one sister- in-law, Gatha Bernard Anderson.

Surviving are her husband of 58 years, William E. "Billy" Moore of Covington; two sons, Michael E. "Mike" Moore and his wife, Tina of Salem and Robert W. "Bob" Moore of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Hilda Wright of Roanoke; Jannis Bolken and her husband, Olaf of Terrebonne, OR and Shirley Wray and her husband, Ronnie of Boones Mill; one brother, Everett F. "Pete" Anderson of Callaway; two sisters-in law, Gladys Anderson of Oriskany and Marie Anderson of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Faith Weedling officiating.

The interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Friends may pay their respects any time at Arritt Funeral Home and the family will receive their friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Arritt Funeral Home and also 1:00 p.m. until service time on Wednesday.

The family suggests that memorials may be made in Mrs. Moore's name to the South Covington United Methodist Church Food Panty, 1900 S. Kadel Ave, , Covington, VA 24426.
