Obituary for Helen Brown Helen Brown
Fairfield Resident Retired From DuPont After 32 Years Of Service

Helen Hess Brown, age 90, of Fairfield, Virginia, died Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Shenandoah Nursing Home, Fisherville, Virginia.

Miss Brown was born on July 27, 1920, a daughter of the late John Baxter Brown and Ethel Hess Brown.

She was a member of the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church, Steeles Tavern, Virginia, and retired from DuPont in Waynesboro, April 1, 1985 after 32 years of service.

Miss Brown is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers, Rubye Barger, Charlene Brown, Marie Leech, Julia Williams, Mattie Frances Moore, Gladys Brown, Graham Brown, William Brown, Johnie Ray Brown.

She is survived by Ruth W. Brown, sister-in-law, and nieces and nephews, Gary and Ellen Moore, Jim and Flora Williams, Jean and Alvin Diehl, David and Wanda Brown, Anne and David Wade, Jeanie and J. B. Cash, Karen and Lester Bowyer, Ray and Mary Lynn Brown, Rhonda and Larry Humphries.

A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church, Steeles Tavern, with Reverend Carl Moore officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of Jeanie Brown Cash of Greenville any time.

Arrangements are being handled by Harrison Funeral Home and Crematory.
