Nellie Hensley Wells, 89, of Glasgow, Virginia, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at Heritage Hall.

Born October 24, 1921 in Botetourt County, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. Hensley and Emma Bryant Hensley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aldin Dewey Wells.

Nellie was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, James Marion Wells of Natural Bridge Station and Ronald Edward Wells of Waynesboro; one sister, Gladys Wood of Bedford; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jeremy Kilgore officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
