Obituary for Ralph C. Claytor Ralph C. Claytor
World War II Veteran Was James Lees Sons Retiree

Ralph C. Claytor, 88, of Buena Vista, Virginia, departed this life on June 19, 2011 to join his beloved wife, Winnie, who preceded him in death by five years.

Ralph was born August 30, 1922 in Rockbridge County.

Mr. Claytor was a veteran of World War II, where he was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge and was a member of the 99th infantry Checkerboard Division.

Upon his return to civilian life, he was employed by James Lees and Sons for over forty years.

He leaves behind two daughters, Fran and Trish and his sons-in-law, Lee Burdette and Herman Huffman. He also leaves behind three grandsons.

He was a wonderful husband and father and will be greatly missed.
