Obituary for Rosa Entsminger Hayslette Rosa Entsminger Hayslette
Life Member Of Life Saving Crew Auxiliary Was Active In Her Church

Rosa Entsminger Hayslette, 84 of Lexington, Virginia, died Friday, July 1, 2011 at her home.

Born March 13, 1927 in Collierstown, she was a daughter of the late C. W. and Sadie Alice Clark Entsminger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cardie T. Hayslette.

Mrs. Hayslette was a long-time member of Collierstown Baptist Church and a very dedicated, faithful member of Lexington Baptist Church for the past 38 years.

In both churches she was very active in the women's ministries, choir member, Sunday school teacher and was very supportive of all church activities. Rosa was also a life member of the Lexington Life Saving Crew Auxiliary, having served faithfully for 31 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Janis H. Slough and husband, Jack of Lexington; a son, David T. Hayslette and wife, Kathryn of Richmond; four grandchildren, Heather Fox and husband, Lenny, Geoffrey Slough and wife, Lauren, Jarrod Hayslette and Peyton Hayslette; one great grandchild, Elijah Fox; four step-grandchildren, Abby, Seth, Morgan and Haley; one brother, A. Page Entsminger and wife, Edith of Lexington; two sisters, Cornelia Entsminger Conner and husband, Lester of Clifton Forge and Susie E. McCulley and husband, Everett of Verona.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at Lexington Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Wilburn and Pastor Greg Gertz officiating. Burial will follow in Collierstown Presbyterian Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Generations Hall, c/o Lexington Baptist Church, 75 Old Farm Road, Lexington, VA 24450 or Lexington Fire and Rescue Auxiliary, 350 Spotswood Dr., Lexington, VA 24450. The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
