Retired Teller Was Pennsylvania Native

Helen Frances Phillips Reynolds, 76, of 310 Hazel Street, Covington, Virginia, died Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Lewis Gale Alleghany Hospital.

She was born April 21, 1935 in Allentown, PA , a daughter of the late Grady C. and Edith Lowe Phillips.

Mrs. Reynolds was a retired teller from the former State Bank of the Alleghenies.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Surviving are her husband, Gary Reynolds of Covington; four daughters, Gail Looney and her husband, Charlie of Covington; Deborah Peters and her husband, Jerry of Italy; Tina Brown and her husband, Cody of Covington and Deannie Reynolds and Dewayne Clapsaddle of Covington; two sons, Mutt Reynolds and his wife, Debbie of Covington and Donald Reynolds and his wife, Missy of Iron Gate; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

In keeping with Mrs. Reynolds's wishes, her body has been cremated.

The funeral service will be held 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lee Dotson officiating.

Following the service on Saturday the family will receive friends at the Arritt Funeral Home.

The family suggest that memorial donations in Mr. Reynolds' name may be made to the Covington Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 588, Covington, VA 24426.
