Terry Wayne Wright, 43, of 1115 Brookhaven Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Monday, August 22, 2011.

He was born March 31, 1968 in Alleghany County, a son of Betty Downey Wright Tucker of Waiteville, WV and the late Marvin W. "Shorty" Wright, Sr.

Terry was a former operator with Lanford Construction in Roanoke.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step father, Russell H. Tucker, Sr.

Surviving are his mother, Betty Tucker, and Roland Clarkson of Waiteville, WV; three brothers, Marvin Wright, Jr. and his wife, Donna of Rocky Mount; Roger Wright and Denise Carte of Waiteville, WV and Russell Tucker, Jr. and his wife, Dreama of Waiteville, WV; three sisters, Sandra Rucker and her husband, Leslie of Covington; Tia VanDevender and her husband, Harry of Elkins, WV and Cindy Parker and Kevin Davis of Holly Springs, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, including Bob Prior, Sr. of Iron Gate.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 26, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the graveside in Lone Star Cemetery with Rev. Cassie Gaines officiating.
