Gayle Harris Graybill, 69, of Roanoke VA, died peacefully on Tuesday afternoon, September 20, 2011.

Gayle was a member of the class of 1960 at Houston High School in Houston, MS and graduated in 1964 from Mississippi State University for Women in Columbus, MS.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney R. and Mildred S. Harris of Houston, MS and her in-laws, C. Lewis and Sally V. Graybill of Buena Vista, VA.

She is survived by her daughter, Amy V. Graybill of Roanoke, VA and her husband, Lewis V. Graybill of Buena Vista, VA; sister, Linda Harris Davis and husband, Ret. Lt. Col. James C. Davis of Leavenworth, KS; nephew, Rob Davis and wife, Heather of Fredericksburg, TX; niece, Leigh Davis Little and husband, Matt of DuPont, WA; great nieces and nephews, Ryan and Sydney Davis and Aspen and Austin Little; cousins, Nita Peterson, Rebecca and Philip Stevenson and their daughter Cozette; special friend and caregiver Anna Garcia and many other family and friends, as well as her much loved cat Molly and grand-dog Lola.

A special thanks to the Rev. Harold Lewis and his wife Nancy for being there with more love and support than one could imagine. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 26, 2011 at 11 oÕclock in the morning at St. John's Methodist Church, Buena Vista, VA with the Rev. John Choi and the Rev. Harold Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service. Graveside services will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
