Charles M. Woodson, 75, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Saturday October 1, 2011 in the Golden Living Center.

Mr. Woodson was born on June 20, 1936 in Rockbridge County, the son of the late Jake W. Woodson and Lucy Jenkins Woodson.

He was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church.

He also served on the Buena Vista Rescue Squad and was an active member in the American legion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet M. Woodson.

Mr. Woodson is survived by his two sisters, Frances W. Henson and Mary W. Spence, both of Buena Vista, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Bolling Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Choi officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Bolling Grose & Lotts Funerall Home, Buena Vista.
