Obituary for Deborah Irene (Deb) Tofano Schiff Deborah Irene (Deb) Tofano Schiff
Special Education Teacher Was Minnesota Native

Deborah Irene (Deb) Tofano Schiff, age 47, of 205 Bath Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

She was born April 14, 1964 in Duluth, Minnesota, a daughter of Mark Tofano and Teresa Whitlock Bolling.

She was a 1982 graduate of Alleghany County High School, and received both her BA and Masters Degree from the University of Central Florida.

Deb was a Special Education Teacher and taught in a number of schools in Central Florida, including the Montessori School in Longwood, FL, and Oviedo High School in Oviedo, FL, before moving to Clifton Forge and teaching at the Rivermont School in Covington.

She was also registered as a substitute teacher at Alleghany High School.

Deb was a loving wife, mother, grammie, daughter, and a wonderful friend to all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband Steve Schiff, of Altamonte Springs, FL; four daughters, Bentlee Schiff and Brielle Schiff, both of Clifton Forge, Mandi Schiff, of Longwood, FL, and Kari Schiff, of Leesburg, FL; her mother and step-father Terry and Ron Bolling, of Hot Springs; her father Mark Tofano, and a sister Daidree Tofano, both of Charlotte, NC; a brother David Tofano and his wife, Jenny of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Sierra, Logan, Alana, and Daunte; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated and a celebration of her life will scheduled at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in her memory to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Boulevard, Suite 1010, Rockville, Maryland 20852.

The Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge is handling the arrangements.
