Evans Berry Martin, 76, of Lexington, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at his home.

Born February 7, 1935 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Terry Martin and Ruthie Martin.

Mr. Martin was a member of the West View Holiness Church.

In addition to his parents, Evans was preceded in death by two brothers, Morris and Thomas Martin, and one sister, Audrey Powell.

Surviving are his wife, Thelma Martin of Lexington; one daughter, Martha Mutispaugh and husband, Ronald; five sisters: Verna Newell, Lillian Hartless, Daisy Kerby, Betty Mays, and Christine Terry; three grandchildren, Kevin Mutispaugh, Shawn Mutispaugh, and Marti Mutispaugh; two great grandchildren, Jordan Mutispaugh and Sky Hubbard.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2011 at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2011at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
