Obituary for Ossie Markham Williams Ossie Markham Williams
Was Owner, Operator Of Whitey's One Stop Market

Ossie Markham Williams, 42, of 495 East Scotland Drive, Covington, Virginia, died Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at her home.

Mrs. Williams was born November 7, 1969, at Clifton Forge, a daughter of the late Owen M. "Jack" Markham and Bertha Persinger "Peggy" Markham.

Ossie was the Owner and Operator of Whiteys One Stop Market in Covington for the past six years. She was an active participant in the Alleghany Highlands Relay For Life Program.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Markham in 1974 and a sister, Liz McDaniel in 2000.

Surviving are her Husband, David Williams of Covington; two daughters, JoAnna Williams of Covington and Heather Crone and Michael Tincher of Lewisburg, WV; one Son, Robbie Crone, of Lewisburg, WV; a great nephew raised in her home, Matthew Markham, USMC, of Parris Island, SC; seven sisters, Peggy and Raymond Boone of Richmond, Donna and David Goff, Shirley Madison, and Brenda Grier and Chuck Givens, all of Covington; Juanita Hicks of Salem, Sandy and Larry Ward of Dayton, Ohio, and Betty and Carl Snow of Suffolk; a special friend, Heidi Williams of Covington, and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Noel officiating.

Interment will be made in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive their friends Saturday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Arritt Funeral Home and at other times will be at the residence of David Pack at 508 Bird Farm Road.
