Kevin Carlise Southall, 51, of Alta, WV, died Thursday , November 10, 2011 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea, WV.

He was born November 12, 1959 in Covington, VA, a son of the late Dewey and Virginia Shay Southall.

Kevin was employed as a truck driver with Boxley Trucking in Alta, WV.

He was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by a very special uncle, Jess Southall earlier this year.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen Back Southhall of Alta; one daughter, Candice Smith of Covington; one son, Kevin Michael Southall of Alta, WV; a step daughter, Mandy Arritt and her husband, Wesley of Covington; two step sons, Ronnie "R.J." Helmintoller and his wife, Kelly and Ross E. Helmintoller, all of Covington; three brothers, Max Southall and his wife, Linda; Benny Southall and his wife, Sissy, and Steve Southall and his wife, Beverly, all of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the Arritt Funeral Home Chapel, Covington with the Rev. Lynn Wright officiating.

Following the service the family received friends at the Arritt Funeral Home.

In keeping with his wishes, Kevin's body has been cremated.
