Marie Lee Houser, 87, of Lexington, Virginia, passed away on November 16, 2011 at Wade Health & Rehab in Trenton, Ga.

She was a daughter of the late George and Ora Lee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph E. Houser, Jr., and sisters Garnett Reilly and Shirley Hickey.

Marie was a former member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

After retiring from Citizens Bank of Maryland, she and Joe owned Jomar Catering in Lexington for many years.

Marie was active in her church, the D.A.R., and extension of homemakers.

Surviving are her daughter, Janice H. Howard and husband, Randy of Trenton, Ga; sons, Joseph E. Houser, III and wife, Vicki of Lexington; Edward L. Houser; Ronald G. Houser and wife, Tammy, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Norman Tippens and the Rev. James Grimmer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Buchanan, Va.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the funeral home.
