Virginia Crawford Coffey, 100, of Lexington, Virginia, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Golden Living Center in Buena Vista.

Born October 18, 1911 in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Houston Crawford and Hallie Coffey Crawford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell H. Coffey, and a son, Lewis Dean Coffey.

Mrs. Coffey was a member of the Mt. Zion Methodist Church.

Surviving are one son, Edward C. Coffey and wife, Edith H. Coffey; one daughter, Betty Wilson Jablonka; one sister, Edna Berry; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sarah Payne officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
