Obituary for Ann (Hallie) Long Heil Ann (Hallie) Long Heil
Rockbridge Native Was McCormick's Spice Co. Retiree

Ann (Hallie) Long Heil, 71, of Lexington, Virginia, died Monday, February 20, 2012 in the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Born November 29, 1940 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Lillian Smith Long and Santiago (Santnee) Long.

Mrs. Heil attended school in Lexington before moving to Baltimore, MD, where she held various positions at the McCormick's Spice Co. from which she retired after 34 years of service.

Surviving are one son, Jeffrey M. Terry of Moneta, VA; her life companion, Donald L. Flint, Lexington; two sisters, Naydene Dudley, Lexington and Margaret Fowler, Sykesville, MD; two brothers, Samuel Long, Lexington and Woodrow Long, Stratford, CT; a cousin, Ethel Fulcher, Roanoke.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Rev. R. W. Swisher officiating. Entombment will follow in Green Hill Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
