Lillie Christine Taylor Patterson, age 91, of 1725 Main Street, The Golden Living Center, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Friday, March 2, 2012 at the nursing home.

She was born December 25, 1920 in Fincastle, Virginia, to the late Emmett W. and Gertrude Taylor Taylor.

She was a homemaker throughout her life, was a member of the Clifton Forge Baptist Church and the Clifton Forge Ladies of the Moose.

She enjoyed travelling, but loved being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John I. Patterson; and four brothers, Emmett W. Taylor, Marconi Taylor, William S. Taylor, and Bobby Taylor; and a sister-in-law, Opal Taylor.

He is survived by a daughter, Nancy Penny Stone and husband, Dayton of Clifton Forge; four grandchildren, Bobby Stone and wife, Patty, Christy Walton and husband, Danny, Kim Nicely and husband, W. V. Nicely, Jr., and John Dayton Stone and wife, Erin; nine great grandchildren, Melinda Jose and husband, Bobby, Lisa Stone, Chase Walton, Mandy Nicely, John Berkley Nicely and wife, Christy, Molly Nicely, Jacob Stone, Luke Stone, and Christa Walton; four great great grandchildren, Logan Walton, Cooper Eli Nicely, Reagan Jose, and Maddie Harmon; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dorothy Helmintoller, Millie Robinson, and Pauline Carter.

A private graveside service will be held in Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor with Reverend Dennis Nicely officiating. There will be no visitation.
