Harry Truman Smith, 66, of Fairfield, Virginia, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Augusta Health Center in Fishersville.

Born November 15, 1945 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, he was a son of the late John Smith and Evelyn Trussell Smith.

Harry was a member of McElwee Chapel and the Blue Ridge Moose Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda R. Deacon Smith of Fairfield; one son, Jeffery D. Smith; step children, Ricky Deacon, Douglas Deacon, Donald Deacon, and Bridgett Sensabaugh; brother, John Henry Smith; nine step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Christina Tutterow officiating. Burial will follow at McElwee Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
