Patsy Ann Ward Covington, 63, of Lexington, Virginia, passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born December 29, 1948 in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of William H. Ward, Jr. and the late Goldie Plogger Ward.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Sue Ward.

Pat was a member of the Ben Salem Presbyterian Church and retired from First Union Bank after twenty seven years of service.

Loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, James E. Covington; one son, Jonathan W. Covington and wife, Jennifer; four grandchildren, Hayden, Gracie, Rachael, and Ashley.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Miles officiating. Burial will follow at Stonewall Jackson Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
