Korean War Veteran Was Lauderdale A.R.P. Church Member

Ollie Elmo Lotts, 80, of Lexington, Virginia, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at his home.

Born March 17, 1932 in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Robert Nelson Lotts and Sallie White Lotts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Louise Jarvis Lotts.

Ollie was a member of the Lauderdale A.R.P. Church and was an active choir member.

Mr. Lotts served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Surviving are one son, Thomas Michael Lotts and wife, Dana; Pamela Lotts Dudley and husband, Stanley all of Lexington; one brother, Franklin L. Lotts and one sister, Helen Mae Clark, both of Lexington; five grandchildren, Monica Lynn Staton, Michael Thomas Lotts, Benjamin Thomas Lotts, Hope Wise Lotts, and Paul C. Pelter, Jr.; eight great grandchildren, Traci Lynn Lotts, Zachary Thomas Lotts, Cierra Amber Staton, Colton Rain Staton, Jamie Lee Lotts, John Lucas Lotts, Gracie Pelter, and Katlyn Pelter.

A funeral service will be conducted 11a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Benjamin W. Dowling, III and the Rev. Tony Nix officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington, VA.
