Susan Elaine Silcox, 59 of Lexington, Virginia died Tuesday May 1, 2012, at Augusta Medical Center, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born October 15, 1952 in Elkins, WV, the daughter of the late Grayden and Elda Proudfoot Yeager.

She is survived by her husband, David Silcox; a son, Adam Silcox of Henrico, Va. a daughter, Sarah Silcox of Lexington, VA; two step-children, Angela Allen of Olympia, WA. and Jerry Silcox; four brothers, Roger, Robert, Marvin, and David Yeager; one sister, Barbara Canfield; two step-children, Angela Allen of Olympia, WA. and Jerry Silcox; Susan was blessed and so loved her five grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. They so energized her!

Everyone who knew her knew she always had a smile on her face and a positive outlook.

She enjoyed spending time in her garden and at yard sales, antique malls, estate sales, church and moments with her grandchildren. Her friends recognized her gift for space design and frequently called upon her for help. She was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Ebenezer United Methodist Church in Rockbridge Baths, VA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, McCurdy Lane, Rockbridge Baths, VA, 24473; or to The National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. 2600 Network Boulevard, Suite 300, Frisco, TX, 75034.
