Betty Clark Beard, 66, of Buena Vista, Virginia, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital.

Born July 10, 1945 in Buena Vista, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Clark and Velma Noel Clark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Lee Clark and a nephew, Brad Clark.

Mrs. Beard was a member of the Stone Church of the Brethren in Buena Vista.

Surviving are one son, Rob Beard and wife, Cathy; two brothers, Harold Clark and wife, Shirley; Claude Clark and wife, Betty; two sisters, Evelina Sensabaugh and husband, Tommy; Linda Sorrells and husband, Danny; one grandchild, Riley Beard; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Stone Church of the Brethren in Buena Vista with the Rev. Russ Barb officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family received friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012 at Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Buena Vista, VA.
