Grover Lynwood Broughman, Jr., age 61, of Briarcliff Apartments at Scott Hill, Apt # 508, 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Clifton Forge, Virginia, and formerly of Iron Gate, died Thursday, May 10, 2012 at his residence.

He was born May 24, 1950 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, to the late Grover Lynwood Broughman, Sr. and Mary Etta Campbell Broughman Gibson.

He was retired from the Gala Industries shipping department and was a member of the Clifton Forge Moose Lodge #1683.

He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid fan of both Dale Earnhart, Sr. and Dale Earnhart, Jr.

He is survived by a daughter, Lesley Crosier and husband, Donald of Covington; a son, Rodney Broughman of Clifton Forge; two sisters, Nelda Wills and Bethany Broughman, both of Ridgeley, WV; a brother, Samuel Broughman of Covington; four grandchildren, Madison Crosier, Dalton Broughman, Zachary Sorrells, and Kameron Broughman; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family received friends on Saturday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge. His body will be cremated following the visitation and no services will be held.
