Former WalMart Employee Dies At Age 45

Ruby Mace Burns, age 45, of 2511 Selma-Low Moor Road, Low Moor died Friday, May 11, 2012 at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany in Low Moor.

She was born August 11, 1966 in Covington, Virginia, a daughter of the late Walter Chapman "Chap" Lamb and Juanita Francis Warden.

She was a former employee of the Covington Wal-Mart, an avid player of Frontierville on Facebook, and she loved gardening and watching old westerns.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Larry Mace, and a sister, Patricia White.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Juanita and Harmon Boggs, of Crawley, WVA; two daughters; Natasha Barron and husband, Christian, of Clifton Forge; Lynnora Mace, of Covington, a son: Daniel Halsey and wife, Suni, of Clifton Forge; her fiance, Danny Tucker, of Low Moor; three sisters;: Linda Sue, of Low Moor, Libby Alcantare and husband, Salvador, of Iron Gate; Theresa Harold and husband, Richard, of Roanoke; one brother; Charles Halsey and wife, Susan, of Sumter, SC, two step-brothers: Richard, of Covington, and Frankie, of Clifton Forge, a step-sister: Sandra, of Roanoke; five grandchildren: Gabriel, Gracie, Riley, Faith, and Dani; a number of nieces and nephews and her special buddy, Lamb Chop.

In keeping with her wishes her body has been cremated. A memorial service was held at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the home of Natasha and Christian Barron 3407 Bennington Lane, Clifton Forge, which will be followed by a time of fellowship.

Arrangements were handled by Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.
