Robert Jackson (Bob) Arrington, Jr., age 82, of 100 Nicholas Drive, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Tuesday July 24, 2012 at his residence.

He was born in Alleghany County, Virginia on May 28, 1930 a son of the late Robert Jackson Arrington, Sr. and the late Millie Helmintoller.

He was a retired Brakeman for CSX Transportation, a retired Dispatcher for the Covington Fire Department, and a lifelong member of the Covington Moose Lodge for more than 50 years.

He is survived by a daughter, Karen A. Underwood, of Clifton Forge; a son, Jamie Arrington and his wife, Tammy, of Hot Springs,; a sister; Ada Taylor, of Madison Heights, VA; four grandchildren: Taylor Arrington, Erin Arrington, Sarah Arrington, and Emily Arrington; a niece and a great-nephew.

In keeping with his wishes his body has been cremated and no services are scheduled. The family will receive friends on Friday evening at Karen's home 3606 Douthat Road Clifton Forge.
