Minnie Mae Rasnake Hannah departed her earthly life to live in her heavenly home on July 28, 2012 at the age of 92.

She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 11, 1920 in Lebanon, Virginia, and was preceded in death by her husband, William Hannah.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Ed Phillips, of Vinton and Connie and Bootie Salyards, of Glen Wilton, with whom she made her home. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Christy Salyards and fiance, Tommy Lipscomb.

Christy was the love of her life and also her caregiver. She also leaves behind a special pet, Miss Kitty.

A funeral service will held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge, with the Rev. Ray Sandiferd and Rev. Edith Snedegar officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park in Low Moor. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday and 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in her memory to the Glen Wilton United Methodist Church, C/O Connie Salyards, 689 Fieldale Road, Eagle Rock, VA 24085.
