She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

She was born on January 11, 1920 in Lebanon, Virginia, and was preceded in death by her husband, William Hannah.

Minnie was a homemaker all of her life. She was devoted to her family, friends and her church. A loving mother and grandmother, she enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, sewing and making pillows, all of which she generously shared with her friends. She was an excellent cook, sharing fried apple pies, bread pudding and Company's Best Pickles whenever possible.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Ed Phillips of Vinton and Connie and Bootie Salyards of Glen Wilton, with whom she made her home. She is also survived by one granddaughter, Christy Salyards and fiance, Tommy Lipscomb.

Christy was the love of her life and also her caregiver.

She also leaves behind a special pet, Miss Kitty.

Other survivors are two sisters, America White and Nannie Robinson; two brothers, Roy Lee Rasnake and Noah Rasnake, Jr and wife, Vivian. She is also survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law: Lloyd and Peggy Hannah, Clementh and Jeanenne Hannah and Clayton & June Hannah. Also, a number of nieces, nephews, Eagle Rock Charge Church families and many special friends.

The family wishes to thank the 4th floor and ICU staff of LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany for their kind and considerate care and Mountain Regional Hospice for being the angels that we needed during the last difficult days.

Also, a special thanks to Dr. James Ballou for giving the best of care to our loved one for many years. A funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Nicely Funeral Home in Clifton Forge with the Reverend Ray Sandifer and Reverend Edith Snedegar officiating. Interment was made Alleghany Memorial Park in Low Moor. Pallbearers were Freddie Ambrose, Sonny Craft, Frank Thurston, Bobby Needham, Virgil Musick, and Ted Rasnake. The family received friends at Nicely Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday. The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in her memory to the Glen Wilton United Methodist Church, C/O Connie Salyards, 689 Fieldale Road Eagle Rock, VA 24085.
