Obituary for Jane Dyott Holland Watson Jane Dyott Holland Watson
Longtime Covington Resident Was Delaware Native

Mrs. Jane Dyott Holland Watson, of Covington, died on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at her residence.

She was the wife of Fletcher Drummond Watson, whom she married on September 6, 1947.

Mrs. Watson was born on May 25, 1921, in Wilmington, Delaware, the only child of the late William Beaton Holland and Rebecca Jane Phillips Holland.

Mrs. Watson was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Jane was an avid golfer, tennis player and a long time member of the Virginia-Hot Springs Golf and Tennis Club.

In addition to her husband, Fletcher D. Watson, Mrs. Watson is survived by her only child, Fletcher D. "Dru" Watson Jr., of Charlottesville; and three grandchildren, Katia Gisele Jane Watson, of Richmond, Fletcher D. Watson III, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Krista Caroline Louise Watson, of Philadelphia.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jamie B. Pharr officiating. Interment will follow In Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, August 18, 2012, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes be made to First Presbyterian Church, 185 N. Maple Avenue, Covington, VA 24426 or to Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422.
