Obituary for Bernard Morgan (Bernie) Teaford, Sr. Bernard Morgan (Bernie) Teaford, Sr.
Retired Equipment Operator Worked With Pace Construction Co.

Bernard Morgan (Bernie) Teaford, Sr. age 78 of 2307 Sulpher Spring Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia, died Friday September 7, 2012 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.

He was born April 24, 1934 in Eagle Rock to the late William and Essie Teaford.

He was a retired equipment operator with Pace Construction.

He was a member of the Central Advent Christian Church and former member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Claudine Barger and Julia Dudding, and brothers, Gordon Teaford, Lee Roy Teaford, William Ray Teaford and Bobby Allen Teaford.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Beulah Nicely Teaford; two sons, Bernie Teaford Jr. and wife, Kathy, Robert Teaford and friend Tina McClung, two daughters, Juanita Williams and husband, Michael, and Mary Teaford, all of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren, Ashlee Williams, Beth Williams, Erick Williams, Kelsey Teaford and Drew Teaford, all of Clifton Forge; three sisters, Hattie Rogers of Vinton, Betty Miller of Florida, and Dorothy Watkins of Natural Bridge; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service was conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with the Reverend Gene Peters and Reverend Gordon Joines officiating. Interment followed in the Central Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge. The family received friends on Monday evening at Nicely Funeral Home and at other times at the residence. The family ask that memorials tributes take the form of donations to the Shenandoah Autism Center, P.O. Box 130, Clifton Forge, Va. 24422.
